Company News — February 2026
Every year begins with a Kick Off. It’s the moment we look back at where we stand, align on where we want to go, and set the goals that will guide the months ahead. But this year we decided that talking about change wasn’t enough — we wanted to experience it. So, on January 30th, we swapped spreadsheets for scripts and boardrooms for backstage energy, and turned our team into a (very entertaining) cast of almost-Hollywood actors.
The theme said it all: ACT TO REACT. More than a title, it became our mindset for the day — a reminder that reacting with agility starts with daring to act differently.
A story of acting — and reacting
The day opened, as it should, with an emotional video that set the tone and told our story from the past year. And it was a story of two movements.
First, acting: we consolidated a clear growth plan and a recognizable presence on the international market. In Italy, we reinforced our role as a reference point on the CCH® Tagetik technology, winning important software selections within large groups.
Then, reacting: because the market doesn’t always follow the plan. When some of the changes we had anticipated at the start of the year reshaped our expectations, we responded — remodulating our commercial proposal and redirecting our energy toward new lines of growth. That, in the end, is exactly what “act to react” means: staying prepared, competent, and quick enough to turn change into opportunity.
A morning of substance
With that spirit set, the morning unfolded through a series of sessions led by the people who guide AKC every day — each offering a different lens on where we stand and where we’re going.
At the heart of the discussion was a key message: what makes all of this possible is our people. From growth paths to training and the way we welcome and develop new talent, his session was a reminder that our expertise is, first and foremost, a human asset — and that people are at the very centre of our ambition to be recognized as an absolute excellence in the CPM market.
In the afternoon, Simone Bertelli closed the business sessions with a deep dive into Delivery — the engine room of our value proposition, where methodology, technological know-how and process expertise come together to turn client projects into tangible, lasting results.
Honest reflections on where we stand, and clear goals for where we’re headed in 2026. Then, something shifted. We stepped out of our comfort zones and, quite literally, onto a stage.
Where the stage met the hills
For the occasion, we gathered at the Tenuta dello Scompiglio, on the hills of Vorno, just outside Lucca. It’s a place unlike any conventional conference venue: fifty hectares where olive groves, vineyards and woodland blend into a single great garden, and where a restored farming estate has become a renowned centre for contemporary and performing arts, home to the SPE — Spazio Performatico ed Espositivo.
It was the perfect setting for what we had in mind. A place built on the idea that culture and nature, instinct and craft, can meet and transform one another — exactly the spirit we wanted to bring into our own team.
From theatre exercises to dubbing scenes
Guided by professional actors, we split into groups and moved through theatre-based exercises and dubbing sessions we never imagined we’d be part of. We challenged ourselves to listen better, to be more present, to move together, and to collaborate more intentionally — laughing a lot along the way.
Some moments were serious. Many were not. And that balance is exactly what makes us stronger as a team:
- To listen more.
- To move together.
- To laugh at ourselves when needed.
- To take things seriously…when needed.
As the evening unfolded, between strategic conversations and honest reflections, we rediscovered hidden (and not-so-hidden) talents, and reminded ourselves that when people feel free to react, experiment, and step into new roles, even just for a day, the way we work together evolves.
The point of it all
The aim of team building is to remind us of something simple: behind every project, every number, and every goal, there are people. People who listen, adapt, improvise, and grow together.
ACT TO REACT wasn’t just our Kick Off theme. It’s how we intend to face 2026 — with focus, energy, and collaboration. New challenges are ahead. And we’re ready to meet them.
